We are delighted to be working on behalf of a reputable container transport company in Felixstowe who are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for a dedicated and proactive Traffic Operator to join their team!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prioritising delivery requirements
- Analysing and routing vehicles in the most efficient way
- Liaising with the warehouse team regarding weight, space and capacity
- Monitoring vehicle progress and rerouting according to updates
- Communicating routing decisions to drivers
- Liaising effectively with clients and customers
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in the routing of containers
- Transport experience is a necessity
- The ability to be meticulous and consistent with close attention to detail
- Computer literate with previous knowledge of Destin8 and the port VBS system
- The ability to work under pressure is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable with an excellent attitude to Customer Service
