Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyse, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts to guide business decisions.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate the year-end audit process, ensuring all financial data and reports are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings, including VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheets, bank statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Internal Controls: Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Variance Analysis: Provide analysis of financial performance against budgets and previous periods, highlighting key variances and trends.
- Systems & Processes: Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions, as well as internal stakeholders across various departments.
Profile
A successful Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting/Finance with extensive relevant experience with CPA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of working with SAP.
- Can do attitude and ability to work under pressure.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in an accounting firm or in industry.
