We are delighted to be working exclusively with an amazing business in the renewables sector who are looking for a new Bid Writer to work closely with the Business Development Director on a daily basis.

What the Bid Writer job involves

  • Develop and write content to standardise and optimise tender content
  • Oversee and update internal bid trackers
  • Review bid opportunities in full, identifying any deliverable opportunities and processing on time
  • Organise and record key actions from internal bid meetings as well as any external tender meetings.
  • Work with internal departments and supply chain to obtain bid content and commercial proposals.
  • Prepare and format all bid documentation in a standardised format.
  • Author documents that are checked and approved by the Business Development Director
  • Create price proposals utilising approved Cost Models which may include contacting third party suppliers to
  • Action bid submissions
  • Produce and log bid cost sheets
  • Track and report bid status, requesting and logging feedback from clients following award decisions
  • Manage internal project handovers for awarded contracts.

Skills required

  • Bid Writing experience from a B2B background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise your own busy workload
  • Proactive with a positive can-do attitude
  • Able to think clearly and analytically
  • Work well under pressure, meeting clear deadlines

Other information

  • Full time working Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
  • Accessible via road and public transport
  • Hybrid / Flexible working after the initial three months.
  • Car Parking available
  • Family run business.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
