Office Coordinator

Location: Fully remote (Training will be based in Folkestone full-time for the first few weeks)

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hourly rate: £12.50-14.50 per hour DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Office Coordinator to take ownership of loading new purchase orders, scheduling jobs, and booking appointments with tenants.

This is a key role in our client’s business, ensuring that the right person is booked at the right time for each job. You’ll be working closely with tenants, managing expectations, and sometimes handling challenging conversations with professionalism and resilience. You will be provided with IT equipment to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load new jobs and purchase orders into the system accurately
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments with tenants and tradespeople
  • Plan and manage job timelines
  • Liaise with both social housing providers and private clients
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, providing clear updates and managing expectations
  • Problem-solve on the go and use common sense when scheduling under pressure
  • Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations through excellent organisation

About You:

  • Organised and able to stay calm under pressure
  • Strong excel skills and attention to detail
  • Strong people skills - calm and confident in difficult situations
  • Understand timeframes, workloads, and how to get the best from a team of skilled workers
  • Previous experience in a scheduling or coordination role is ideal
  • Knowledge of social housing is a plus
  • Ability to pick up new processes and systems with ease
  • Must have an office set up at home
