Planning Manager: Fort Augustus/ Moray
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Manager to oversee planning activities across two prestigious SSE projects. This is a critical role, requiring strong leadership and strategic thinking to ensure the successful delivery of these important projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules, aligning with project goals, budgets, and deadlines. This includes coordinating the activities of multiple contractors and subcontractors across both sites.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage project resources, including personnel, materials, equipment, and budget, optimizing allocation and ensuring efficient utilization.
- Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress against established plans, identify potential risks and delays, and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and assess potential risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project schedules and budgets.
- Change Management: Manage change requests and effectively implement approved changes, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
- Communication & Collaboration: Maintain open communication with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project plans, schedules, and progress updates.
- Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve planning processes, identifying areas for efficiency gains and incorporating best practices.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to planning teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Prior experience with a Tier 1 contractor.
- Proficiency with P6 Primavera
- Proven experience as a Planning Manager on large-scale projects, ideally within the energy sector.
