About Us
Gateshead Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locality Team Manager to lead one of our Locality Teams in Adult Social Care. This is a crucial role in overseeing care management across the borough, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our community.
As the Locality Team Manager, you will lead a team responsible for completing complex assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions for individuals with physical and/or organic mental health needs. Your team will cover half of the borough, working alongside another Locality Team that covers the other half.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a Locality Team to ensure effective delivery of care management services.
- Oversee complex assessments, care plans, and interventions for adults with physical and/or organic mental health needs.
- Ensure high standards of service delivery, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Support the team in a hybrid working model, with a requirement to be on-site at least 2 to 3 days a week.
- Collaborate with other Locality Teams and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care across the borough.
Who We're Looking For
- An experienced manager with a background in adult social care, preferably with knowledge of care management for individuals with physical and/or organic mental health needs.
- A strong leader with excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Someone who is adaptable and can effectively manage a team in a hybrid working environment.
- A candidate who can step into this role immediately and provide effective leadership pending the appointment of a permanent Team Manager.
Additional Information
This is a temporary position pending the appointment of a new Team Manager. The role requires on-site presence at least 2 to 3 days a week to support the hybrid working model.
