Role Responsibilities
  • Leading company audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, using standard programmes
  • Preparing and completing company accounts in line with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Conducting specialist audits, such as SAR, ATOL, pensions, and charities
  • Carrying out ad-hoc assignments, including due diligence and systems reviews
  • Preparing corporation tax computations
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members
  • Researching and analysing financial statements and audit-related issues
  • Interacting proactively with client management to gather information, resolve issues, and recommend business and process improvements
  • Managing assignments and reporting progress to the audit manager or partner

Candidate Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualification or be a finalist
  • Experience within a multi-partner practice, including audit exposure
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in statutory audit, bookkeeping, and statutory accounts preparation
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
  • A proactive and motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple assignments within budgets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software; experience with CCH would be an advantage
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a car for client travel
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of current legislation
