A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer for a perm role on behalf on our client based in Isle of Grain, Rochester, Kent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance, such as bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, couplings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Identify and rectify faults efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment condition.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualification (City and Guilds preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical skills with expertise in 3-phase systems, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, PLCs, and fault finding.
  • Proficiency in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, couplings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am-4pm
