- Lead the planning, organisation, and execution of assurance reviews, including drafting and finalising audit reports with relevant senior stakeholders, in line with the assurance plan and set timescales.
- Ensure proper controls and processes are in place across various client functions, including housing, care, and other operational areas.
- Conduct and report on organisation-wide spot checks to ensure compliance with key operational processes.
- Support the Director and/or Head of Assurance in delivering an integrated assurance function through systematic and random reviews of client activities.
- Promote a culture of openness and accountability, enabling staff and customers to challenge performance and assumptions.
- Proven experience in internal audit roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Advanced analytical and evaluation capabilities
- Skilled in documenting and assessing systems, identifying areas for improvement
