Financial Accountant

Annual Salary: £55,000 to £60,000
Location: Gloucester, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement

Reed Accountancy is seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our client's growing team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive financial services and acting as the primary source of technical accounting advice. You will be responsible for maintaining accounts, advising on complex financial issues, and ensuring compliance with legislation and accounting standards. The successful candidate will lead a team of accountants and collaborate closely with Finance Managers.

What You'll Do:

Lead Annual Accounts Production: Coordinate and produce the annual Statement of Accounts.
Financial Controls Management: Drive standardisation and improvements in financial control systems.
External Auditor Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for External Auditors.
Policy and Accounting Advice: Appraise implications of changes in government policy or accounting requirements.
Team Management: Ensure the effective operation of your team.

What We're Looking For:

Leadership Skills: Experience in leadership and team management, with a focus on supervising technical financial tasks.
Financial Expertise: Proven experience providing complex financial advice to senior stakeholders.
Accounts Production: Experience leading the production of final statutory accounts and financial statements.
Qualifications: Full ACCA or ACA qualification.
