Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance function to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Lead and manage a small, dedicated finance team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Oversee the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage the month-end timetable, delivering comprehensive reconciliations and insightful financial reporting.
- Lead the year-end process, ensuring the preparation of financial statements and overseeing audit support.
- Drive the annual budget process, developing detailed budgets and forecasts to guide the business forward.
- Proactively manage cash flow and working capital, ensuring financial stability.
- Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls to protect the business and improve efficiency.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives within the finance function to streamline operations.
- Guide and support the transactional finance team, helping them develop their skills and career.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and insights to drive strategic decision-making and business growth.
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large sets of data.
- Experience in managing and developing a small team.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
- A proven track record in commercial analysis, driving strategy improvements, and enhancing business performance.
