About Us: We are a progressive and forward-thinking company seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Manager to join our team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with the requirement to attend weekly meetings at our Gloucestershire HQ.

Role Overview: As a Technical Sales Manager, you will collaborate with the Business Manager to drive growth targets and sales strategy. Your consultative approach and expertise in identifying and qualifying leads will be crucial in developing tangible sales opportunities for new customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify new sales leads
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Generate business from new customer accounts
  • Expand business through sub-contract sales and our own products
  • Collaborate with the Sales Estimator to generate quotations and provide CRM feedback
  • Quote new enquiries and review existing quotations as needed
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Develop sales strategies and budget requirements with the Business Manager
  • Provide daily/weekly sales update reports
  • Work closely with other departments to close business opportunities
  • Continuously relay customer requirements and expectations to Marketing, Engineering, and Support departments
  • Create and maintain sales literature as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Sales Executive or similar role
  • Experience in sheet metal engineering or selling sheet metal cabinets/enclosures to B2B or B2C markets
  • Understanding of sheet metal estimating (advantageous but not essential)
  • Marketing background (beneficial but not essential)
  • Strong ambition to excel and advance your sales career
  • Proficiency in relevant software (Word processing, spreadsheets, email, web services, presentations)
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High initiative, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Strong administrative skills, including diary/time management and efficient planning
