Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced and confident Home Manager to lead our specialist 22-bed dementia-focused residential care home. The successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining compliance with CQC standards and managing a skilled care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all residents.

  • Oversee and promote person-centred care planning and delivery that respects the individual needs and dignity of all residents.

  • Manage, support, and mentor staff teams, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.

  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies, conducting regular audits and implementing improvement plans as needed.

  • Work closely with families, professionals, and external agencies to build strong partnerships and ensure continuity of care.

  • Monitor and manage the home's budget and resources effectively to maintain financial viability without compromising quality.

  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and ensure that all procedures are followed correctly to protect residents from harm.

  • Ensure all records, incident reports, and care plans are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Lead by example, creating a positive and inclusive working culture that promotes wellbeing, teamwork, and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or working towards).

  • Desirable: Previous experience managing a dementia-focused residential care home.

  • A sound understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding practices, and current legislation.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • A genuine passion for elderly care and commitment to upholding the highest standards.
