Salary

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum

Contract type

Full Time

A recent role has come about for a qualified Mid to Senior level Quantity Surveyor to join a modern and forward-thinking Consultancy based in Gloucester.

You will be working directly with the new Director and assist on several upcoming and secured high profile healthcare, higher education and commercial new build and refurb schemes across the local regions offering a wide range of traditional QS and Employers Agent Services.

Few years post qualification experience working within a consultancy environment would be advantageous. Anyone competent in cost reports, cost forecast, employers agent work is exactly what they're looking for and if possible, a keen attitude to eventually be a leader and manage a team as they have a young, junior team of QS's currently so having that Senior to guide them would be a big help.

Great position to join a Consultancy who despite having been operating for nearly 50 years, are always innovating in how they work, stay modern, have fresh ideas on how they operate which keeps them ahead of the competition and always put their staff first. Multiple benefits on offer including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays) to all their staff.

Requirements:

  • Have strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and an interpersonal style that enables you to flourish in a direct client facing role
  • BSc qualified in Quantity surveying (or similar degree) with previous experience (ideally) working within a consultancy environment.
  • Be able to chair meetings and have the leadership skills needed to lead a project team, which may sometimes include managing conflict and resolving complex issues
  • Have exceptional planning and organisation skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple demands
  • Be able to work independently, make sensible judgments and decisions, and take responsibility for doing whatever it takes to get the job done.
  • To assist in the management of the delivery of all pre & post contract services, comprising dealing with cost variances and associated change control processes, conducting valuation processes, carrying out cost checks, producing regular cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
