We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team as a Senior Assessments Social Worker in the vibrant borough of Gloucestershire. As a Senior Assessments Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the Assessments team in delivering outstanding safeguarding services for vulnerable children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Child and Family assessments to determine the best course of action for children's needs.
  • Manage lower caseloads, allowing for comprehensive social work interventions.
  • Form positive relationships with families and professionals to facilitate positive changes for children and young people.
  • Contribute to our relationship-based practice framework, aligning with our Values and Behaviours.
  • Support the professional development and growth of the team through supervision, mentoring, and training.

Requirements:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience working within an Assessments context, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues, partner agencies, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, assess risks, and make evidence-based decisions to safeguard the well-being of children and young people.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.

For all your hard work, you will receive the following:

  • Salary between £36,648.00 - £44,428.00 per annum, subject to experience
  • Annual retention payment of £2,000
