Sonic Summary

A Sales Engineer is sought to support sales and lead generation, focusing on growth opportunities in targeted industrial sectors and maintaining key account relationships.
Candidates should have a strong sales background, ideally with experience in industries such as Defence, Marine, and Power & Water, along with knowledge of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
The role requires a full UK Driver’s License, a British or dual passport, and the ability to pass DBS & BPSS vetting, with a preference for applicants living near Milton Keynes.
The position offers a salary with an annual bonus of up to 10%, along with benefits including 23 days of holiday and the possibility of hybrid working.
Applicants should be excellent communicators, capable of working independently as well as part of a small team, with experience of at least a few years in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to assist with all aspects of sales and lead generation, to find opportunities for growth within targeted industrial sectors, and maintain relationships with many key accounts in various industries such as: Defence, Marine, Power & Water

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Excellent communicator at all levels to negotiate best outcomes for the company.
Must be able to work individually whilst being a member of a small team.
Tasks and priorities are allocated by the Sales Manager
Strong Sales background dealing with similar industries.
Knowledge and understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) would be beneficial.

Requirements:

Hold full UK Driver’s License
Have a British or dual passport.
Will need to pass DBS & BPSS vetting.
Live within a commutable distance from Milton Keynes

Summary of duties:

To produce commercial and technical proposals
To discover new opportunities and contacts in targeted market sectors – There will be a bias
to building contacts and projects within the Marine industry.
Follow up quotations and close business
Involvement in research and development and marketing
Monitor and interact with tendering portals and report on opportunities
Attend meetings with the customer at their site or offices across the UK.
