QHSE Manager required
Office based role, Great Yarmouth working from 2 locations in Great Yarmouth.  
Permanent, full time or part time.
Salary range £36,000-£42,000 based on full time. 
 

Based in Great Yarmouth, Abbey Chemicals is a chemical distributor. The majority of the chemicals that we distribute are imported from all over the world including Turkey, Italy, Austria, China and India.  

Chemical distribution is the process of storing, transporting, and delivering chemicals from manufacturers to end users in various industries. Chemical distribution is a diverse industry that covers many sectors, including pharmaceuticals, construction, agriculture, cosmetics, food, feed, and automotive.


In order to comply with the challenges we face ensuring safety, and addressing compliance and legal aspects, we are recruiting a QHSE Manager.


Due to business growth we are seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to join our team. The correct candidate will have strong leadership skills and sufficient training and experience or knowledge to assist our business in meeting the requirements of health and safety legislation. This will include the ability to engage with service providers to meet those requirements.

Responsibilities:

Improve and enforce company QHSE standards in line with relevant legislation

Upkeep and maintain the company ISO 9001, 14001 standards.

BRC knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, training can be provided.

Develop COSHH assessments, SOP’s, risk assessments, hazard identification and rectification, and HSE audits. Participate in the carrying out of these activities.

You will need:

•  Leadership skills

•  Computer skills and reporting experience

•  A demonstrable dedication to QHSE matters

•  Experience in auditing

•  NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications

•  Experience or knowledge in Chemistry

Salary range £36,00 to £42,000 is dependent on experience
