This is an excellent opportunity to join a FCA regulated Family Office who are investment managers for a quoted Investment Company and investment advisors to, clients of a Guernsey regulated investment manager. The position would give successful candidate an interesting and extremely varied role with a real insight into the workings of a Family Office and associated investment structures.

There is an element of processing but the specific duties are likely to involve elements of:-

Maintaining investment positions on a bespoke Portfolio Management System

Develop and enhance Portfolio Management System

Reconciliation of cash and stock positions

Maintaining cash positions

Liaising extensively with the offshore investment manager

Corporate actions and proxy voting

Preparation of a wide variety of reports (including performance reporting) for research analysts/fund managers

Liaising with custodians/administrators

Ensuring the accurate implementation and execution of trades

Assist in the maintenance of the group and client websites

Would probably best suit a candidate with minimum of four years’ experience in investment operations or related field such as global custody/ asset management / investment banking

The candidate must be self-motivated, confident, organised, have excellent communication skills, able to work independently and function effectively within a small organisation.

Attention to detail and the ability to look at the wider picture to understand the implications of their role is very important

Exposure to the workings of private equity investments would be beneficial but not essential.

Familiar with aspects of performance measurement

Exposure to system development or project management would be useful

Knowledge of the trade cycle of a variety of investment products

Proven track record in improving processes

Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products

A level or equivalent education with a high level of numeracy
