Our client, a well-established accountancy and tax advisory practice with offices in Guildford and Central London, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team.
Position OverviewAs an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in leading audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio. Working closely with clients and team members, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality audits, providing valuable insights and recommendations. Responsibilities-
Lead and manage audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, Charity SORP and other requirements

Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and training to support their development

Review audit work, identify risk areas, and provide recommendations for improvement

Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout the audit process

Prepare financial statements and audit reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Liaise with managers and partners to ensure efficient and effective audit delivery

Stay up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, ensuring best practices are followed

Contribute to the firm's strategy and growth initiatives, including process improvements and business development

Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit within an accountancy practice

ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified (or finalist with relevant experience)

Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships

Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Proficiency in audit software, accountancy software and Microsoft Office
