Are you a keen individual looking to start a career in administration while earning a qualification at the same time? Our client, a successful and growing technology business based in Guildford, is currently seeking a Business Administration Apprentice to join their dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification, with the full support of our client and their specialist apprenticeship training provider, Boom Training.

About Our Client:
Our client offers innovative technical solutions to clients across various sectors, including the UK Government. As a company that values growth and development, they are looking for a motivated individual to assist with their administrative functions. Please note that this is an office-based role that requires the successful candidate to be security cleared.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the Office Manager with various duties, including general administrative tasks.
  • Prepare and process documentation, such as updating the in-house purchasing system, creating and processing invoices, and marking up purchase invoices for payment.
  • Handle stock management, including data entry and labelling of assets/stock, with support from the IT Manager.
  • Document processes as required, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Answer and handle telephone queries professionally and courteously.
  • Meet and greet visitors, ensuring correct sign-in procedures are followed.
  • Manage the sending and receiving of parcels and post.
  • Conduct online purchasing, including ordering kitchen supplies, office stationery, and organizing on-site catering.
  • Undertake other general and departmental administration tasks as needed.

Qualifications Required:

Training Provided:

  • Business Administrator Level 3 qualification (typical duration 15-18 months), with a dedicated performance coach throughout the apprenticeship.
  • At least 8 hours per week dedicated to training, which may include in-house shadowing, on-the-job training, or webinars provided by Boom Training.
