Our client based in the technology sector, is currently seeking a dynamic Project Manager for a maternity contract starting around December time. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, as well as coordinating all project activities to ensure successful execution. The Project Manager will work closely with IT and relevant client departments to optimise systems and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Systems Implementation
  • Coordinate the implementation of software and systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and appropriate teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct user training and provide ongoing support.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise processes through system enhancements.
  • Gather and analyse data to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change logs.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
  • Ensure systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in accounting systems management and project coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting processes and software.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
