We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. This role is ideal for an individual who is not only comfortable working in a warehouse environment but is also capable of undertaking occasional driving duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient handling of goods and ensuring timely delivery when required.
Day-to-day of the role:- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
- Taking inventory and maintaining accurate records of the goods.
- Picking and packing orders with attention to detail.
- Organising transfers and deliveries with the use of company vehicles.
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed in the warehouse.
- Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
- Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse and equipment.
- Driving company vehicles as needed for deliveries and pickups.
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operative or similar role.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Full, clean driving licence and experience in driving commercial vehicles.
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
- Forklift operation certification is a plus.
