Our client, a well-established and highly respected Civil Engineering Main Contractor with an annual turnover of £150 million, is looking to appoint a General Foreman to their civil engineering team on a permanent basis. This role will involve working on power infrastructure projects across various locations in the East of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

As General Foreman, you will take charge of managing all on-site operations, ensuring that all works are carried out to a consistently high standard. You will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing all operational activities on construction sites

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date site diaries

  • A strong track record in enforcing health & safety and quality control procedures

  • Previous experience working with a civil engineering contractor

  • Direct experience working on Scottish Power projects (essential)

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
