The Client

Our client are a privately owned Principal Contractor, adapting Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to deliver high specification-built environments and projects that require a specialist level of construction co-ordination. They specialise in healthcare and are looking for a Project Manager for a 2-year project in Oxford.

 

The Role of Project Manager  

 

We are seeking a Project Manager with experience of high rise building projects with extensive crane logistics to deliver the extension of a hospital in Oxford.  

 

  • Work and lead a team comprising of Agents, Engineers, Works Managers, General Foremen, Technicians, and Operatives.
  • Manage excellent customer service and expectations.
  • Drive the delivery of the programming whilst maintaining high standard of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Management Systems and ensure plans are in place and updated for areas such as Construction Phase H&S, Environmental Management Plans, and Quality.
  • Administer the project in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure all activities are supported by appropriate plans and RAMS.
  • Oversee crane logistics
  • Oversee waste management, lifting and temporary works activities, ensuring they comply with legislation and company procedures.
  • Conduct weekly site reporting and programming.
  • Foster a culture where everyone strives to meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Promote innovation and value engineering.

 

Skills & Experience of the Project Manager

  • Extensive experience of delivering high rise projects with large elements of structural steel
  • Crane logistics on high rise building is essential
  • Relevant construction qualification
  • SMSTS
  • Available for the duration of the 2 year project
