Team Leader – EBD Children’s Home
Location: Suffolk (Outskirts of Hadleigh)
Position: Team Leader
Shift Pattern: 1 day on / 2 days off (8 AM - 11:30 PM)
Salary: £29,510, rising to £31,350 after probation (inclusive of 1 sleep-in per shift)
Additional Pay: £40 per additional sleep-in | £30 per emergency on-call
About the Role
Are you an experienced professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join our dedicated team as a Team Leader at an EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home located on the outskirts of Hadleigh. Our home is registered to provide care for up to four girls aged between 10 and 18 years who display emotional and behavioural difficulties.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and inspire a team while ensuring the highest standard of care for the young people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the home during your shift, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Care Planning: Implement and monitor individual care plans for the children, ensuring their safety and emotional wellbeing.
- Team Support: Offer supervision and mentoring to staff, promoting professional development and high-quality care.
- Safeguarding: Conduct safety checks, manage incidents, and uphold safeguarding standards.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, complete relevant paperwork, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Emergency On-Call: Respond to on-call duties when required, ensuring effective resolution of any issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
- Experience: Previous experience working in a residential childcare setting, ideally with children who display emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Essential Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Car Driver: A valid driving license is required due to the location and occasional transport duties.
