We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the Accounting & Finance team of a great public sector organisation. This role entails providing financial information to assist in the strategic growth of a not-for-profit organisation.

Description
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Assisting in the planning and forecasting process
- Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decisions
- Ensuring financial compliance with statutory requirements
- Implementing cost control measures
- Liaising with external auditors
- Mentoring junior members of the team
- Participating in projects to improve financial processes
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Significant experience in a similar role
- Any experience in a public sector, education or charity organisation would be advantageous
- Professional certification or studying towards one, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus
