We are looking for a highly experienced Health & Safety specialist to Head up the H&S function for this well know brand, on a 6 month interim basis.

This is a vital appointment, to lead and be accountable for the health and safety, and business continuity across this national healthcare operation, delivering a robust and best in class strategy and business continuity plan that protects the business and its people and ensures compliance with health, safety regulations

Key requirements include:

Develop, implement and maintain a health and safety strategy that protects the business and complies with health and safety regulations

Develop, implement and maintain a training and education plan that ensures all colleagues are aware of their responsibilities and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely

Develop, implement and maintain effective Incident investigation and reporting standards in relation to health and safety across the whole business estate

Develop, implement and maintain sufficient monitoring and auditing across the organisation

Develop and implement a business continuity plan that will protect the business

You will have a proven and significant track record of running H&S program for large multi-site businesses, such as retail, distribution or manufacturing. You will be NEBOSH Diploma qualified, or equivalent with proven experience in practical safety application, and experience of leading a safety culture in a highly regulated environment.

You will have driven the management and delivery of change agendas, creating business continuity plans and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Experience of leading and motivating teams, and strong communication skills is also a must.

This is a business critical position, and an urgent start is required.
