We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our primary schools in Harlow, starting immediately. In this role, you will provide essential support to non-verbal pupils, facilitating their learning and communication within the classroom environment. The position is full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to non-verbal pupils, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
- Implement communication strategies and tools to facilitate effective interaction between non-verbal pupils and their peers, as well as with teaching staff.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for non-verbal pupils.
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet the specific needs of non-verbal pupils.
- Monitor and record the progress of non-verbal pupils, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
