Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator
Location: York
Salary: 33,500 Plus Excellent Benefits
We've been engaged by a specialist technology manufacturer within the events industry to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator. The organisation has a large global footprint, and this role will focus on the Health, Safety and Environment of the manufacturing site in York. The role will report into the Health, Safety and Environment Manager and will help to drive a positive Health and Safety culture across the site.
Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator will include:
- Supporting the Health, Safety and Environment Manager to ensure the site is compliant and in line with the overall UK and Global strategy for Health, Safety and Environment
- Engaging with members of staff at all levels across the site to improve awareness and commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental issues
- Supporting in the management of a regular audit and inspection programme, assessing Health, Safety and Environment performance and assisting in identifying any areas of improvement
The successful Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator will have:
- Some experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role, ideally from within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ideally NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) or working towards
- A good technical knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation
