The role offers a competitive pay rate of £29.97 per hour Umbrella (negotiable based on experience).Primary Responsibilities:
  • Undertake budget preparation, budget monitoring, and closure of accounts work.
  • Provide a range of professional financial support, advice, and information to budget managers and more senior members of the Finance Division.
  • Complete financial and statistical returns and grant claims.
  • Operate appropriate financial systems and administration for specific service areas.
  • Lead and/or participate in improvement projects or matrix management projects as directed, as part of the Division's transformation and improvement agenda.
Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working in local government.
  • Experience in financial management support in areas such as Planning & Building Control, and Property & Facilities Management.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with experience handling high volumes of data in spreadsheets and producing financial summaries.
