We are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal for a well-established law firm based in Hartlepool.

They have a large and highly regarded Residential Conveyancing department are looking for someone to support the Residential Conveyancing Solicitors based in the team.

You must have existing experience within a residential conveyancing role and be confident in all aspects of support including:

  • Preparation of contracts on sale files and issuing contract packs to the buyers’ Solicitors.
  • Requesting redemption statements.
  • Preparation of search reports.
  • Sending enquiries to clients and replying to enquiries on sale files.
  • Preparation of mortgage offers.
  • Preparation of transfers.
  • Attending to clients, both in person and on the telephone, providing such support in a professional and friendly manner in-keeping with the Firm’s standards for client care.
  • Making appointments and arrange meetings as needed.

You should be someone who is confident in running sale files from start to end, under the supervision of the solicitors as well as supporting them on the more complex files including sales, purchase and leasehold properties.

You will need to be organised and confident in speaking to agents and clients as the first point of contact and a professional communicator who can provide updates to ensure clients and agents are assured their file is progressing as expected.
