Join an award-winning special school in the Hassocks area, dedicated to providing exceptional education to children with Autism, SEMH, and associated behaviours. We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 GCSE English on a full-time basis, starting from September 2025.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach English to KS3 and KS4 students, preparing them for GCSE examinations.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with special educational needs, including ASD and ADHD.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to believe in themselves and excel both academically and personally.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and participate in school activities and events.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience in teaching English, preferably in a special education setting.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of students with ASD, ADHD, and other special educational needs.
  • Creative and dynamic approach to teaching and lesson planning.
