Position: Teaching Assistant (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Location: Havant, HampshireType: Full-Time / Part-TimeStart Date: Immediately, Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Implement and manage behavioural strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt resources and lesson plans to meet individual needs.
- Foster a nurturing and safe environment for students to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- A passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and resilience.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
