Our client is looking for an experienced and exceptional individual to be part of running their newly refurbish countryside pub in the heart of the Sussex, the pub has recently been completely renovated from top to bottom, with over 1 million pounds worth of investment. The aim for the pub is to be food led, serving pub classics in a relaxed, family friendly environment, that will be recognised as one of Sussex's top food destinations.

This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual who truly loves hospitality and strives to deliver the highest level of service to their guests. The ideal candidate should be full of energy, personable and from within a high-profile pub/restaurant setting where the highest level of service is offered. You should ideally have at least 2 years of experience at a senior level in a similar environment, although this is not completely essential as our client is open to giving people with the right attitude and drive the opportunity to take the next step in their career.

As part of managing the day to day running of the pub, your duties will include the following -

  • Managing GP to maximise profitability
  • Training & development of the team
  • Keeping up to date with all the latest trends within the industry
  • Forming relationships with suppliers
  • Ensuring that stock rotation is followed, and all storerooms, fridges and freezers are in order, temperature records are kept
  • Overseeing the maintenance of the pub, equipment and organising repairs when needed
  • Working alongside the Head Chef to develop new dishes and constantly monitor menus to attract more clientele
  • Ensuring that guests receive a memorable experience
