Billings Team Leader

East Sussex (hybrid working once settled)

£38,000-£40,000 + annual bonuses

Our client, a highly successful professional services firm, are currently looking for a Sales Ledger Supervisor to join their team in a newly created leadership role.

This person will have solid experience of sales ledger management and skills in client relationship management and billing. They will be a natural leader, with the ability to nurture and develop a team successfully, and have minimum 2 years experience at the managerial level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the firm’s billing process, ensuring deadlines are met and operations run efficiently.
  • Track daily billing volumes, address any issues, and maintain high service standards.
  • Allocate billing tasks in order and oversee monthly timetables.
  • Ensure client deadlines are met while supporting team cross-training for seamless coverage.
  • Oversee fair distribution of billing and consolidated invoices among team members.
  • Resolve billing queries and drive continuous improvements.
  • Maintain and update key billing procedure documentation.
  • Monitor team performance, conduct appraisals, and provide holiday cover when needed.
  • Work closely with senior finance to refine processes and support reporting requirements.
