Our client, an established and one of the UK’s leading children’s toy company, is approaching its 40th anniversary with a youthful, entrepreneurial, and ambitious outlook. They are seeking a like-minded, permanent Financial Director to join their dynamic team and contribute to their fast-paced and fun company culture.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the COO, you will oversee the finance team, currently consisting of 2, and manage all aspects of the finance function. This role is perfect for someone eager to take on a leadership position and drive the financial strategy of a growing company who has exciting growth plans.

  • Reporting to the COO, overseeing the finance team and all aspects of the finance function including payroll
  • Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with financial partners and investors
  • Leading the company’s annual Sales Forecasting, Stock Purchasing and Budgeting process
  • Design and preparation of Monthly MI and KPIs
  • Maintaining the 3 year Financial Forecasting model
  • Maintaining Sales and Stock Flow Forecasting models
  • Treasury Management and Cash Flow reporting
  • Overseeing Year End Audit Process and Liaising with external auditors
  • Overseeing and controlling the year end stock take
  • Weekly and Monthly Sales Analysis and Reporting
  • Statutory reporting
  • Overseeing company IT facilities and liaising with external IT support company

Candidate Attributes

You will be an experienced Finance Director or Senior Financial Controller, who has gained experience within a smaller, but successful, company:

  • Recognised Accounting Qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA/BSc
  • Significant Post Qualification experience
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills - together with the gravitas to work closely with non-finance operational staff and senior management / the Board
  • Excel skills including Pivot Tables advantageous
  • In Depth knowledge of Microsoft Business Central ERP system
  • Experience using Power BI or similar financial modelling software ideal but not essential.
