Russell Taylor Group have a brilliant new opportunity for a General Manager/Director to oversee a material testing service business in Herefordshire. The role has come about due to the current General Manager moving to another area of the business.
The ideal candidate will come from a technical background (iso 17025) and must have had exposure to NADCAP as the company are working towards gaining NADCAP accreditation.
The Role
The main purpose of this position is to drive the business forward and take responsibility for the day-to-day laboratory services supplied both internally and externally.
To take ownership of the revenue goals.
To grow the external revenue.
Overall responsibility and authority for the technical operation of the laboratory.
Implementation of the Quality System.
Maintaining and improving services to internal and external customers.
The Person
Previous experience with NADCAP/metallurgy/materials
Experience of managing - this site cover 35 employees
Experience of commercial and financial P&L
Previous experience of ISO 17025
Previous experience of formulating business strategy
Entrepreneurial flair and creative approach to business
Ability to communicate with various levels of stakeholders.
Demonstrates assertiveness, determination, and perseverance
Enthusiastic and able to enthuse others.
Loyal and reliable with a friendly personality
