  • Our client, a leading Design & Build company in Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer for residential projects across Essex and Hertfordshire.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years post-RIBA Part 3 experience in the UK, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a thorough understanding of UK building regulations.
  • Key responsibilities include attending design meetings, creating architectural drawings, proposing layouts, and managing compliance documents.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent conceptual, graphic, and design skills, along with experience in working with BIM and bespoke construction detailing.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Our client is a leading Design & Build company based in Hertfordshire with residential projects across Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties, they are currently looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join its practice near Broxbourne, who work closely clients creating bespoke homes.

As the successful candidate you should have the following:

Proficiency inAutoCADis essential.

Experience in UK Residential architecture and experience in designing residential spaces

The ability to understand a complex brief and think strategically whilst concurrently dealing with the more practical details of construction

The ability to confidently work alongside a team of consultants

Attention to detail and the creativity and persistence to find solutions

Experience of bespoke construction detailing in putting together construction information

A thorough understanding of UK building regulations

Experience in allRIBAwork stages

Excellent conceptual, graphic and design skills

Experience of working withBIM

Experience in working as part of a team

These skills should ideally be evidenced within your CV/portfolio. In addition candidates must have:

3 year minimum post-RIBAPart 3 experience in the UK, more preferred

Fluency in both written and spoken English

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK

UK driving license The day to day duties will be as follows:

Being present at design meetings with existing clients where required

Undertaking existing/proposed architectural drawings

Proposing layouts for designs

Helping the other team members when required

Managing your own work using the various company compliance documents

Ensuring client expectations are met

Providing planning advice throughout projects

Ensuring clients are all updated on a regular basis
