Accounts Payable Assistant - About our client:

Accounts Payable Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate coding and approval
  • Reconciling supplier statements and managing discrepancies
  • Preparing weekly payment runs
  • Entering invoices into our accounting system
  • Checking VAT on invoices and keeping records up-to-date
  • Supporting month-end processes and reporting
  • Answering phones and liaising with suppliers on payment queries
  • Providing general administrative support to the Finance team

Accounts Payable Assistant - What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable
  • Previous experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas
  • Proven experience with ledger reconciliation
  • Experience with reporting
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving queries
