The kitchen champions modern British cuisine with classical influences and works closely with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients. This is an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Sous Chef to join a dedicated brigade in a serene and inspiring setting, with the freedom to contribute to innovative menu development and uphold exacting culinary standards.

Sous Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Confident leading a kitchen team and stepping up in the Head Chef's absence
  • Comfortable working to a 3 AA Rosette level or similar
  • Has a deep understanding of seasonal British ingredients and refined cooking techniques
  • Passionate about food presentation, consistency, and quality
  • Brings a calm, hands-on leadership style to support and mentor junior chefs
  • Organised, proactive, and always striving to exceed guest expectations

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
  • Leading service and maintaining kitchen standards during busy shifts
  • Contributing ideas and executing new dishes for seasonal menus
  • Maintaining high levels of hygiene, safety, and compliance
  • Training, mentoring, and motivating junior team members
  • Working closely with suppliers and the wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
