We are recruiting for Caretaker

Start: ASAP - 12-month permanent contract

Hours: 2 weekly rotational patterns:

First week: 6 am to 2 pm

Second week: 11 am to 7 pm

Per hour: From £12. 21 to £12.41 (37 hours per week)

Enhanced DBS essential (Existing portable DBS desirable)

We are looking for an experienced facilities assistant/caretaker to work for a local authority school in Heywood, the position is working at two school buildings, they both require support and maintenance, duties to include:

Responding to helpdesk:

  • Responding to spillages in the school
  • Damaged property
  • Building furniture
  • Distributing parcels
  • Moving furniture around the school
  • Other duties: Emptying bins, changing light bulbs

Securing premises:

  • Ensure windows and doors are closed, students have left the building, gates are locked, and alarms are set.
  • Supporting fire evacuation

Desirable: Experience with water, electric monitoring, and testing of equipment (with support from the Facilities Manager)
