We are seeking for a Lead Caretaker to join our team.

Here are the details of the position:

Job title: Lead Caretaker

Location: Salford, M6

Type: Contract

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Payrate: Hourly 16 per Hour Umbrella
  • Duration is ongoing with view to go full time
  • Enhanced DBS required

Key Skills:

  • Lead the site team comprised of caretakers with efficiency and professionalism
  • To ensure the most effective operational function of the caretaking service at all times.
  • Work as a key part of the Facilities team and work well on your own.
  • Arrange cover for other team members when off on annual leave/sickness etc
  • Maintain the building as per contractual obligations
  • Provide typical caretaking/handyman duties to the building and oversee works as Site Manager
  • To provide strong support to the site team and the Facilities Manager
  • Shift work required on occasion Manage the PPM process on site level including carrying out PPMs and completing paperwork and uploads
  • Carry out regular site inspections to maintain quality control
  • Carry out stock checks and be responsible for the ordering or required stock
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders Main duties
  • Oversee H&S processes on site and report any non-conformance to the FM
  • Instigate fire alarm and sprinkler tests on a weekly basis with the site team
  • Report any maintenance issues to FM immediately
  • To undertake small office moves as and when required.
  • Monitor the contractor singing in sheet daily to see who is expected on site
  • To assist with gritting pathways and external stairs when necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with external and internal customers
  • To assist with sweeping and keeping the ground clean.
  • To undertake training relevant with the job.
  • To carry out other comparable duties.
  • To provide strong support to the Site Manager
  • To set-up the evening bookings for their activities (football, dance, cricket etc)
  • To ensure site is left clean and tidy following a booking for the next day Person Specification Skills & Behaviours
  • Experience of interaction and working closely in a team and alone.
  • Co-ordination and Planning skills
