We are seeking a motivated General Driver / Grounds Maintenance Worker for a three-month temporary role. This position involves undertaking both soft and hard landscape construction projects to enhance the local environment. If you are physically fit, hold a HGV Class 2 Licence, and have experience in landscape construction, this role offers a great opportunity.
Day-to-day of the role:- Landscape Projects: Carry out general soft and hard landscape projects, including rotavating, levelling, block paving, brick laying, and the construction of paving, kerb edging, and tarmac surfacing.
- Site Preparation: Work from plans to prepare sites, which includes measuring, setting out, and interpreting levels and design details.
- Assembly of Construction Items: Assemble prefabricated construction items following accurate installation details according to manufacturers' recommendations.
- Driving and Vehicle Management: Drive as required, including performing vehicle checks, cleaning, and transporting goods and personnel. Responsible for the correct loading and unloading of materials, ensuring compliance with weight limits.
- HGV Class 2 Licence: Essential for the role.
- Experience in Landscape Construction: Proficiency in both soft and hard landscaping techniques.
- Physical Fitness: Must be fit and healthy as the role involves working outdoors and lifting heavy items.
- Ability to Follow Plans: Experience in reading and executing plans and design details accurately.
