As an Alternative Provision Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and teaching engaging lessons catered to student's academic levels and learning needs
  • Employing specialised techniques to deliver curriculum to students with SEMH/behavioural issues
  • Fostering a safe, supportive classroom environment through challenges
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies

The successful Alternative Provision Teacher will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (Unqualified teachers will still be considered if you have a proven track record of previous experience within SEND)
  • Experience of working with KS3/KS4 curriculum
  • Contribute to citizenship, SMSC and enterprise according to school policy
  • Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
  • A strong positive role model
