Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
A Buckinghamshire-based Engineering firm that pioneers the Defence and Avionics industry are on the hunt for its next Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. With over 75 years in the industry of innovative design and complex systems, the business is looking to further expand their growing RD team!
If you are an experienced Engineer (5 Years) who either has exposure to a Senior position or is looking for their next step up in their career, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Lead Mechanical Design of New Product Development (Full product Life-cycle)
- Produced Detailed Designs using 3D CAD (Ideally SolidWorks but open to other CAD packages)
- Concept Generation
- Produce Documentation to support Development
- Continuous Improvement of Processes and Tools
- Approving Engineering Drawings
Skills and Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Mechanical Engineer undergraduate degree (or similar).
- Full Product Life-cycle Design Experience.
- Experience in running or leading your Design Projects.
- Experience with FEA and/or CFD.
- Engineering background in Aerospace or Defence.
- Strong Understanding of ISO Standards.
