Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Tax Compliance & Advisory Services: Provide comprehensive personal tax compliance and advisory services, effectively managing a diverse portfolio of individual clients.
  • Corporation Tax Service: Assist Accountants with drafting corporation tax return and provide advice regarding capital allowances, R&D claims and other matters.
  • Support to Directors: Assist the Directors in delivering expert advice on UK income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, corporation tax, VAT and matters of residence and domicile.
  • Client Planning & Advisory: Identify and advise on strategic planning opportunities for clients, particularly during tax return reviews and other relevant communications.
  • Work-In-Progress (WIP) Management: Manage WIP effectively, including setting and meeting client expectations, ensuring recoverability, proposing fees, invoicing, and timely cash collection.
  • Risk Management: Demonstrate strong risk management skills, particularly in client acceptance and engagement processes.
  • Technical & Market Awareness: Stay informed about technical and market developments, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and practices.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Fully qualified Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Knowledge of tax law and regulations.
  • Experience with CCH software package would be an advantage
  • Previous experience in a client facing role is desirable
