Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Job Type: Full-time, Site-based

Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: £40K

Hawk3 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients who specialise in the design, manufacture, and delivery of innovative solutions across various industries, including industrial embedded computing, custom lithium battery packs, secure communication systems, antennas, and imaging technology.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring products and processes meet high-quality standards. You will work closely with the Operations and Quality departments to ensure compliance with business and customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

      Implementing and managing inspection and certification control plans

Supporting contract reviews with the Project Management team

Leading APQP requirements such as PPAP and FAIRs

Conducting visual and dimensional inspections for process production part approval

Supporting final inspections of completed components or assemblies, including sign-off

Providing manufacturing support to production areas for quality-related issues

Updating or implementing procedures as needed

Evaluating measurement systems

Actively supporting the business with its QMS and ISO 9001:2015 accreditation

Performing internal audits of processes and maintaining audit schedules

Managing non-conformance issues and reporting performance metrics

Accomplishing regular product sample and process audits on the shop floor

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

      Educated to Diploma or Degree level (or equivalent), ideally in an engineering environment

Strong experience working with defence standards

In-depth knowledge of technical documentation, including engineering drawings

Experience in electronics-based product manufacturing, with familiarity in electronic/electrical components and cabling

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills

The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure

 

 

Desirable

      Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and QMS practices

Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
