Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics and supply chain efficiency? A growing organisation in the Manufacturing sector is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations.

In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for everything from overseeing goods-in, inventory management, and warehouse operations, through to despatch, transportation planning, and performance optimisation. You'll manage both internal teams and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods - all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive efficient daily operations of the warehouse and despatch functions
  • Manage goods in/out, stock control, and inventory accuracy using WMS
  • Optimise warehouse layout and workflow for maximum productivity
  • Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing warehouse team
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and transport planning
  • Monitor performance metrics and deliver regular KPI reports
  • Collaborate across departments including sales, procurement, and customer service
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production-led environment
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and planning abilities
  • Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of transport/logistics legislation and health & safety standards
  • Ability to effect large scale change
  • ISO / NBOSH / IOSH certification
  • Professional body - institute for warehouse logistics
