Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Location: Flintshire | Full Time | Permanent
Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics and supply chain efficiency? A growing organisation in the Manufacturing sector is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take ownership of our end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for everything from overseeing goods-in, inventory management, and warehouse operations, through to despatch, transportation planning, and performance optimisation. You'll manage both internal teams and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods - all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
What you'll be doing:
- Drive efficient daily operations of the warehouse and despatch functions
- Manage goods in/out, stock control, and inventory accuracy using WMS
- Optimise warehouse layout and workflow for maximum productivity
- Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing warehouse team
- Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics and transport planning
- Monitor performance metrics and deliver regular KPI reports
- Collaborate across departments including sales, procurement, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management
- Experience in a manufacturing or production-led environment
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and planning abilities
- Confident communicator with solid negotiation skills
- Knowledge of transport/logistics legislation and health & safety standards
- Ability to effect large scale change
- ISO / NBOSH / IOSH certification
- Professional body - institute for warehouse logistics
