Russell Taylor Group are recruiting an interim Warehouse Manager to join our client.

The Role:

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff. Ensure that all employees are adhering to company policies and working efficiently. Foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Establish strong, effective operating procedures and processes to meet predetermined goals for stock control and service levels.
  • Adhering to the production schedule, make sure that products move from the warehouse to the manufacturing facility efficiently.
  • Work with other members of the manufacturing operations team to review and identify material flows and control issues, and where necessary, put corrective measures into place.
  • Ensure the outdoor spaces and warehouses are clean and make the most of the available space.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational issues. Use data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse. Ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the finance and purchasing departments to examine, locate, and address problems with the material supply, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Achieve agreed material and operational cost reduction targets.
  • Encourage and assist the team in reaching high standards by managing others' performance in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner.

The candidate:

  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and other inventory control software.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • A self-motivated, assertive, organised, and pragmatic leader
  • Excellent, IT skills.
  • Encourage and assist the team in reaching high standards by managing others' performance in a fair, transparent, and consistent manner.
  • Experience of cost reduction programmes
