We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor  to join a special school located in a rural area between Horsham and Guildford. This position is suitable for individuals with diverse backgrounds such as Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Unqualified Teacher or Cover Teacher

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide PPA and Teacher absence support to a small class of approximately 3 to 5 children, or on occasion, work on a 1:1 basis.
  • Delivering pre-set lessons
  • Assist children ranging from primary to secondary school age who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) issues.
  • Support the children both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring their safety and helping them with their educational and personal needs.
  • Engage with a friendly and supportive team in a dynamic and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in roles such HLTA, Cover Supervisor, Daily Supply Teacher is highly beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with children with SEMH needs.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
